Story

I DID IT!!! THANK YOU to every single one of you who got behind me yet again! 50K (second Half of #WALK100) 12hours 37 minutes I am so happy!!

I truly enjoyed it very much & managed to survive with small minor blisters this time and muscle aches & pains etc! All in all I feel great!

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN to all who sponsored me! Love Nikki xxx

Thank you to the Blind Veterans for the lovely invitation to The Buckingham Palace Garden Party to celebrate 100 years of BVK on 4th June 2015.

It was a very special day that I will always treasure!  I took my mother as my guest who is 81 years old (who travelled down from Lancashire)  Such a memorable day THANK YOU! xxx

Thank you for all your support, donations, RTs, Shares & well wishes!  Hi again, to celebrate 100 years of The Blind Veterans & after #StrideOnTime 2014 team's fantastic WALK100 success (&  the hugest blisters I have ever seen have healed)  I have decided I just had to do this challenge again, not only for the fitness & mental  aspects but for the love of the blind veterans also to support this amazing charity.  Over the last 2 years I have grown to love this charity very much! Last year we did the WALK100 k in 25 hours & 40 minutes! #Proud

Since Maria & I planned & signed up to do this years 50k of #WALK100 Maria has to have an operation on her knee so wont be able to join me on this years 50k.  My Health issue has dictated that it would be sensible to do the 50k option which starts in the evening of Saturday 6th June & completes on Sunday 7th June  at The Blind Veterans HQ in Brighton. I aim to achieve this in under 12 hours but to finish is always a fantastic moment especially when greeted by the wonderful veterans themselves!

The WALK100 last year was amazing the camaraderie was encouraging & excellent also the amount of wonderful fellow walkers we met was just overwhelming. The best feeling in the world!

The work the Blind Veterans do is life saving & life changing... No one should never have to face life alone especially when suffering sight loss or blindness.  I value the work the veteran's did & do for our freedom so I am proud & happy to do all I can to give support back.

Training starts on Monday 9th March & I cannot wait! Wahoo!

Over the past two years I have done a sponsored diet with friends calling my team #FitTastic, a 10k run, a WALK 100k walk & my next challenge is the 50k through the night challenge in June.

Please support me with whatever donations you can give,.. I appreciate every £1 & I aim to raise a minimum of £500 so please play a part of this challenge by donating what you can to help make life changing difference to our dear veterans.
