My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Im known as madrider1961 a name that was given to me when I rode Landsend to John O'groats to Landsend in 4xdays on CG125cc Motorbike..( with support crew ).That was back in 2006 .

Well over the years ive helped raise over £30,000 for various charities & now 2009 Im going to ride Plymouth to John O'groats to Landsend to Plymouth in 4xdays SOLO in aid of Diabetes.UK.

Why ?? Well a very close riding buddy Honeymonster is a diabetic wasnt always & was quite a shock when we all found out .As it must have been for him also .

We have ridden many miles together in the past although his bike is alot bigger than mine " I will still wait for him to catch up ".

There are many bikers out there with this as well as many other folk too .

So on 27th Aurgust 09 I will be getting on my CG125cc riding from Plymouth to Carlisle/// Carlisle to John O'groats to Inverness/// Inverness to somewhere in midlands/// Midlands to Landsend to Plymouth & my bed lol.

Im known to bike clubs worldwide & most think ive losted the plot ,But hope they respect me for what i try to do .

On my last 4 rides members of the first&lastmcc have supported me highly & Honeymonster has either ridden out with me or been there at the end,True M8....

So by doing this ride I wish to raise money to help with the research of Diabetes not just for my M8 but to help folk all over ..

The route will be all A/B class roads ( & 1 cycle path lol  over M48 ).

Leaving Plymouth derriford hospital 0600hrs 27th Aug A38/A4/A403/A466/A49/A6/ Broads folling M74/A702/A90/A9.

same way home but adding A30 . arrival back inti Carpark E 1800hrs on 30th Aug 09 .
