BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Magpas Air Ambulance provide the best pre-hospital emergency care, by air and land 24/7, including treatments normally only available in hospital. By providing advanced care to patients across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and the East of England, our charity saves lives and limits disability.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On 24th September 2007 I lost my best friend Charlie Beaumont in a road accident. MagpasThe Emergency Medical Team attended the accident scene and it was their prompt roadside assistance and expertise that gave Charlie the chance of survival.

I am taking place in the Great North Run (Gateshead, Newcastle) on 20th September 2009 to raise money for Magpas in Charlie's memory. The Great North Run is probably the hardest and most famous UK 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) with some very tough up-hill sections.

Sponsorship is welcomed and any businesses making a substantial sponsor will have the added bonus of seeing their business name and logo on the Emergency Medical Team Rapid Response vehicle for one year. There are other Magpas sponsirship opportunities. Local papers are following my story and will include in their press releases a list of supporting companies. Magpas will be covering my story on their website, and also have very strong links with local radio stations and the press.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Magpas gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you all very much.
