Dr Kershaw's Hospice provides free, specialist, end-of-life and palliative care (an area of healthcare that focuses on relieving and preventing the suffering of patients) for adults with life-limiting illnesses in Oldham and its surrounding areas in a peaceful and homely environment.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Despite the fact that I cannot stand on a chair without  getting vertigo, hate flying, I've decided that I'm going to take on my biggest challenge!

On July 3rd I will be "chucking" myself out of a plane at 12,000 feet as part of a tandem Parachute jump, in aid of the Dr Kershaw's Hospice.Dr Kershaw's is a local Hospice based in the Oldham area (Charity begins at home).  The palliative care given by our local hospices not only help ensure that our loved ones with terminal illnesses are treated with dignity & respect but also ensure that carers receive necessary respite.  All hospices are only partially government funded and the majority of their running costs must be raised via donations. As Cancer touches most of us at some point in our lives I think that this is a worthwhile cause

I am hoping to raise at least £500  to assist the Hospice and therefore any donation, large or small,  you can make I know will be put to good use & greatly appreciated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dr Kershaw's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you to all those who have pledged so far.
