Story
Some of you may have seen or heard that I am going to Tanzania in November to help teach some basic dentistry to African nurses.
The charity which I will be working for is called Bridge 2 Aid and three times a year a group of U.K. dentists go out into rural clinics to work on a one to one basis with nurses who have no dental knowledge. Hopefully by the time we leave they will be able to carry out extractions.
First world diet has caused huge decay problems and some of the resulting infections can be life threatening when left untreated as at present.
As you will have guessed this letter is a fund raiser!
My daughter, Louise (who is hopefully about to graduate as a doctor) and I are planning to climb the three highest U.K. peaks,
(update27thMay.We have now decided to do the climbs on three consecutive days! Starting with the drive to Fort William next day Ben Nevisand drive to Scafell, next day Scafell and drive to Snowdon last day Snowdon and home.Really looking forward to the challenge!!
Everyone has been so generous with some really big off line donations as well thank you all so much)
This gives a focus to the fund raising and if you feel able to make a small donation then either send a cheque, payable to S. Cripps or visit the web site, justgiving.com/stuartcripps.
Thank you in advance for supporting this very worthwhile cause of long term sustainable aid.
All the best.
Stuart
