In the UK: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline staffed by prostate cancer specialist nurses. Our nurses offer free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The Charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

My story

On 22^nd April 2007 (just four days before my 30th birthday……!) I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity.

22^nd April is an important date for me, and the family, as it was on this same date in 2004 that my Dad, Andrew, died of prostate cancer aged 60.

Those who knew Dad will vouch that for years the cancer did not stop him from living his life as he always had - as a happy, loving and hospitable family man.

The Prostate Cancer Charity provides support and information to anyone concerned about this type of cancer, and aims to raise its profile among the public and in the media. It also funds research into the causes of, and treatments for, prostate cancer and funds specialist nurses.

Please help me support this charity by giving generously!
