Unfortunately 10 years ago a very good friend lost his battle with cancer. Campbell Scott was a great inspiration to all his friends and family and I feel honoured to be able to call him my friend. Therefore in his honour I am aiming to walk the West Highland Way and ( weather permitting ) climb Ben Nevis at the end of the walk, starting on the 29th March to try and raise money for the Beatson Oncology unit in Glasgow where Campbell was a patient. Some of you may think that this is something that should be easy for most people to accomplish, however the fact that with only 10 weeks to go, I am completely out of breath and my knees feel as if they are about to explode after I climb the 4 flights of stairs at work, this is a huge challenge for me. Helping me on the Walk is my good friend Steve Pearson, who has done the walk before. He will be able to make sure that i don't get lost - hopefully !!! Cancer is something that touches everybody’s life, so places such as the Beatson Unit will end up in most peoples life in some form, unfortunately. Please donate if possible Many thanks for your support.
