We're taking part in the Sucata Run - a fundraising ralley taking place August 26th -30th. The aim is to drive from Rouen in France to Cabo de Roca (the most westerly point in mainland Europe) in a clapped out old banger bought for as cheap as possible in order to raise money for the childrens charity Gemin-i. If our car breaks down on us (which has every chance of happening) we shall attempt to arrive there by any means necessary. Oh and to make things slightly more interesting we shall be in full fancy dress all the way.
Gemin-i is an educational charity helping children around the world share ideas and work together for a brighter future. The money we raise for this year's Sucata Run will help Gemin-i run more educational projects connecting young people worldwide. One of the new projects you will be helping to support is an HIV and AIDS awareness project (entitled "Youth Action Exchange") being launched later this year in over 100 countries around the globe.
