Well - I succumbed!  The thought of telling everyone that I was going to be 60 on 25 April was not immediately attractive, and my mother couldn't believe that her own daughter was going to be an old aged pensioner!  However, having celebrated with other friends, I have come to understand that it can be a happy occasion!

I would rather not have any presents (I've been trying to de-clutter for years), but donations to The Ear Foundation would be welcome in lieu - in these challenging times, all donations are welcome!
