Hi all, (updated; 11.12.05)
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Yep ~ I must be crazy. This is a really big challenge for me, and I need all your support PLEASE...
I will be taking a 400km CYCLE SRI LANKA Challenge (www.cyclesrilanka.com) with International Childcare Trust in October 2005!! ICT (www.ict-uk.org) has been working in Sri Lanka for over 20 years and have long and close relationship with the communities. ICT is deliverying direct, and long-term benefits to tsunami affected children, their families and their communities ~ relieving poverty, sickness and advancing the education of children; as well as working with children and their families displaced by ongoing conflict.
On our Day 9, Sat 15th Oct: we will visit 2 of ICT's projects where we can see the results of our fundraising before returning. All this can happen ~ if you sponsor me ~ PLEASE. I need to raise a minimum of £2500 by 16th September 2005, and this is where your help and support is needed...PLEASE...
A donation of £10 will provide 2 children in transition with food for one month, £50 will provide 6-month training courses in a marketable skill to a young person, £100 will provide a child with school expenses for one year and £200 will provide tool kits for 5 young trainees.
My first target needed is £1200 by 1st July 2005.
My second target needed is £1300 by 16th September 2005.
= £2500
(+28% Gift Aid, £700, not included in the target) = £3200
Every pennies count, plus ICT can claim an extra 28% tax bonus at no extra cost if you are a UK taxpayer. All donations are secure and sent electronically to International Childcare Trust, and it is the most efficient way to sponsor me.
Please note that since we are paying all of the costs of our trip to Sri Lanka ourselves, all money you give go direct to ICT. Anything that goes beyond would be fantastic!!
In return for your support I will write you a report of my trip and I am happy to mention your name and your company's name in both my report and on justgiveing.com fundraising web page, promoting your business as my sponsor.
So please sponsor me now!!
Please spread the word and tell all your friends to sponsor me online. Thank you...

Yes!! I did it!! I've kept my promise. Though it was very hard, and did not do the extra bit because of my cold fever which I have cought on my very first day after a torrential rain, but I did all the stages in the challange. I am very please that it all went well as planned.
In addition, I have created and produced a colouring book for children. The aim of this book is not only to share this unique, valuable, and wonderful experience through pictures communication, but also to implement an educating tool for children towards their creativity, and an introductory and raise their awareness towards international issues. It is to also to encourage Sri Lanka tourism to be back on its feet after the tsunami tragedy. Furthermore, is it is also raising more funds for the International Childcare Trust. The book is £5 each.
You can either donate me online now and email, or text me of the address where it is going to. Or pay by cheque, email me your address so I can send you a Gift Aid form for you to fill and send it back with the cheque. Please make payable to "International Childcare Trust" What a perfect gifts for Christmas for your little love ones!!
Hurry, as this fundraising page will stop accepting donations on or around 16th Dec 2005.
