Edinburgh Marathon · 26 May 2013 ·

Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Help me raise over £500 and I will do my first run dressed as Zippy from Rainbow….

What am I doing?
1) “Beast in the East” – 10km off-road run through mud, water, sand and hills (May)
2) Edinburgh marathon (May)
3) Cycling 300 miles from London to Paris (July)
4) 100 mile cycle race round London and the Surrey hills (Aug)

Who am I raising money for?
Sense – a UK charity supporting those who are deafblind.

Why Sense?
The idea of living without sight and hearing is almost impossible to imagine. However, this is a reality for over 350,000 people in the UK.

The combination of a hearing and sight loss creates a unique set of wider needs that, without the right support, can leave deafblind people vulnerable, marginalised and isolated.

Sense aims to help deafblind people live fulfilling lives as independently as possible.

Donate
If you’d like to make a donation, whatever the amount, it will be really appreciated, personally by me, and also by Sense.

p.s. I'm still recruiting for Bungle and George.

Thanks.
