Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We are playing against Ambassadors in Sport for 1 hour in their 24 hour game at the David Beckham academy to raise money for Ambassadors in Sport. This means playing against ex Man United and England winger Lee Sharpe.
The purpose of Match for a Day is to raise funds for two projects that work with marginalised and excluded youth in London and South Africa. Our project, 'Hope FC', aims to provide a positive alternative for youth in inner London boroughs who are at risk of getting involved in drugs, crime, and gang warfare and offer opportunities for youngsters to break out of potentially destructive lifestyles.
In South Africa 'Hope Academies' work with young offenders, providing football coaching, mentoring and life skills training for boys and young men in prison so that they can get their lives back from destructive prison gangs and stop re-offending.
AIS have positive stories to tell of changed lives with individuals we have worked with in both settings and are looking forward to taking these projects from strength to strength.
More info can be found at www.surbitonchurchesfc.co.uk or at www.matchforaday.co.uk
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ambassadors in Sport gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
