Adele was a beautiful young lady with a huge heart.
Adele was born with congenital Heart Disease and also had one of her lungs removed at just 18 months old at Sheffield Children's Hospital, after been discharged from Sheffield she was admitted to Great Ormond Street and remained in their care for almost 2 years with her mum by her side.
Adele also spent alot of time on the children's ward at Scunthorpe General and at Royal Brompton where she had a stent into her main airway and surgery to her windpipe.
Adele was in hospital over 300 times in her sort life over 50 of these visits for major operations.
18 months ago Adele's stent broke up and was blocking her airway and she had to have more surgery to save her life.
Dr Jeremy George performed a pioneering laser treatment on Adele in August 2008 in London, the laser treatment is a thing they use on cancer patients for certain cancers to avoid surgery, the surgery was the first of it's kind in the UK and Adele loved that she had some firemen outside the operating theatre in case anything went wrong. The operation was a huge success and she returned home to recuperate and plan a holiday she had been dreaming of with friends for so long, but after 2 weeks she developed Pneumonia overnight, something no one could have foreseen and sadly died on 9th September 2008 aged 27
Adele was so impressed and appreciative of the medical staff that helped her that she promised she would along with friends organise a ball for the laser charity, sadley Adele cannot do this now but we her friends are going ahead with the ball she dreamt of in her memory and in celebration of Adele's life.
We are having the ball on the 24th April and hope to raise lots of money in her memory.
Adele was the most beautiful young lady I have ever know, full of courage and in all the years I knew her she never moaned or complained, she loved life and loved her friends and family, she was the most selfless person in the world always concerned for others before herself and had a smile that remains in our hearts forever.
