Not all families are lucky enough to take their newborn babies home from hospital, some are very sadly ' born sleeping.' 

We are setting ourselves the challenge of a 26.2 mile, 'Marathon' walk to support such a worthwhile cause. With an important and ongoing need to support  bereavement services, we chose this particular fund after hearing the story of one incredibly brave family and their own personal loss. They started a campaign to raise awareness and money to fund a special room at QCCH in memory of their daughter, Jada.

Donations to the teardrop fund will go towards the upkeep of 'Jada's Room' at Queen Charlottes and Chelsea Hospital. This is a peaceful room where parents and their family can spend time with their baby following their loss.  It has its own kitchen area so you can have tea and coffee in the room rather than having to walk through the corridor and bump into proud parents or hear new babies crying. It has an en-suite bathroom, fridge, microwave, reclined chair and soft furnishings which gives it that homely feel that normal hospital rooms cannot provide.
