My personal message:

In April 2007 I will be attempting to run "The Toughest Foot Race on Earth" to raise money for 'The Alzheimer's Society'.

The Marathon Des Sables takes place in the Sahara Desert (Morocco) in temperatures exceeding 120°F.

The overall distance is 243km (made up of legs of 25, 34, 38, 82, 42, 22 km) run over 6 days. This is equivalent to 5 1/2 regular marathons.

Competitors have to carry everything needed to complete the race (apart from water and a tent), on our backs, in a rucksack (food, clothes, medical kit, sleeping bag etc.) The average pack weighs in excess of 30Lbs.

As you'll see, I am trying to raise a considerable amount of money for my chosen charity - and really, every bit helps. So, please dig deep and sponsor me online.
