Matt’s Story
At 35, Matt separated from his wife and children and found himself alone, unemployed and struggling to cope with the challenges he was facing. SVP members met with Matt and gave him support, including assistance with job applications, financial advice, and finding suitable accommodation. Having the friendship, emotional support and advice he needed, Matt was able to make progress in the situations he faced, freeing him to move on with his life again.
Every year, SVP befriends more than 100,000 people in a variety of different situations, giving them the support, encouragement and hope needed to deal with the life issues they face.
