The South West Thames Kidney Fund was formed in 1989 in response to the need for support for research. All monies raised by the Fund go directly to support research into the causes of, and preventions for, chronic renal disease at the S W Thames Institute for Renal Research. On Sunday 28th June the 20 strong Sweaty Kidney Scientists team frantically paddled their Dragon Boat to a barely missed win in their third and final heat at a time of just a fraction over 1 min 1 sec.
Sadly they didn't make it to the semi finals, but be assured that this result was achieved with a massive amount of team effort, sweat, some blood, and not a few tears!
