SWIFT CONSERVATION www.swift-conservation.org is trying to raise funds to sponsor the Swifts Page in the forthcoming BTO Atlas of the Birdlife of the UK and Ireland.

This vital publication, researched entirely by the BTO's members, appears about once every 20 years, and provides an invaluable resource for the study, care and above all conservation and protection of wild bird populations.

Swifts are we know in massive decline; they have lost about half their UK population in the past 14 years. If we can find , through the BTO's members' surveying skills, where the remaining Swifts are and in what number, then we should be able to offer them greater support and protection.

So please donate what you can; we have already been given 25% of the sum we need, it would be great to get some more!
