Chris and Michael are pleased to announce their success in completing the bridgeclimb in memory of Rich and to raise funds for TCF. Many thanks to all the online contributions and there will be more on the way from those who preffered to sponsor us in cash.
I hope we did Rich proud and consider it a privilege to have been able to help TCF a little and give something back. Our thoughts remain with all those who have shared in the terrible grief we have allexperienced.
We lit a candle in a beautiful little church in New Zealand in memory of all the lost children and those that remain behind to cherish their name
Kindest Regards Chris and Michael
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Four years ago we lost our 23yr old son Richard very suddenly and unexpectedly from Congenital Thrombophilia that led to multiple DVT's. Unknown to us he had inherited this from me. I will now have life long treatment to help control it. So Rich possibly saved my life.
Rich was loved by so many, he was a great dreamer and traveller and one of his many ambitions was to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. In November 2007, my Husband Michael and I are spending some time in Sydney and on Thursday 15 November we have booked to fulfil Rich's ambition on his behalf. This will be no mean feat as I have a fear of heights but have been assured help and encouragement will be at hand.
Any sponsorship would be much appreciated, proceeds to go to the Compassionate friends. Everyone involved in this wonderful charity understands the unbearable loss of losing a child at whatever age and the difficulties families face in adjusting to life. Although memories are treasured their loss of the future hoped for so much, leaves a huge void never to be filled. So please sponsor me now!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Compassionate Friends will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. I hope you like the photo of Rich, on his very last Holiday, in Venice with a group of friends. On completion of the climb I will be very happy to post our "we did it photo". If you want further details of bridgeclimbs visit www.bridgeclimb.com Many thanks in anticipation of your support. Chris Worne
