Hope and Homes for Children’s mission is to give hope to the poorest children in the world – those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable – by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so they can fulfil their potential. In Central and Eastern Europe, we close orphanages and move children into family-based care whilst developing the services needed to help prevent child abandonment. In Africa, we provide a vital lifeline for families at risk of breakdown due to the pressures of poverty, disease or conflict. We believe that, above all else, every child should live within a loving family environment.

My story

Hello!

You've probably reached this page from my website (www.takeaseat.org), so I won't bore you again with the details of my novel and perhaps ridiculous cycling venture! The journey from Prudhoe Bay Alaska, to Ushuaia in Argentina is a distance of approximately 30,000km which I covered in 2 years and 2 months, riding through deserts, jungle, mountains and occassionally rivers!

I have broken my first fund raising target of 5 thousand pounds but now with your help and through talkig about my adventures, I hope to at least double that.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hope and Homes for Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I really hope that you enjoyed following my progress through the Americas and through reading my diaries, perhaps felt the highs and lows I experienced. This is only the beginning..........
