My story
TalkTalk is proud to support TreeHouse, the national charity for autism education.
TreeHouse is leading by example to improve opportunities for children with autism. It has established a flagship school in
London , which has blazed the trail for a new movement in autism education across the country. Its National Centre for Autism Education aims to transform the lives of all children with autism, wherever they live.
Together TreeHouse and TalkTalk are working to support this mission, raising funds and driving awareness of autism through a variety of fresh, interactive initiatives:
118 111 – TreeHouse receives 1p for every call to 118 111, the only directory enquiry service to support a charity in this way. When TalkTalk re-launch the DQ service in September we hope that call volumes - and therefore support to TreeHouse – will rise and rise.
Single release – TalkTalk is donating all of its proceeds from the sale of Hayley’s single ‘Something In The Air’ to TreeHouse. For each purchase TreeHouse will receive 25p, so naturally we want the song to be a huge success. The single can be downloaded from itunes or ordered from HMV.
Mobile phone recycling – The Carphone Warehouse is continuing mobile phone recycling with the CPW Charity Partnership. We get £10 for every handset collected; £3.50 of this goes to Get Connected, CPW’s Charity, £3 goes to The CPW Foundation which is then distributed to a number of excellent causes, and £3.50 goes to TreeHouse, helping more kids with autism.
Ambitious about Autism TreeHouse is now poised to dramatically expand its services and also build a National Centre for Autism Education which will provide a centre to deliver current and develop new services, and also offer essential training to autism practitioners.
TalkTalk is determined to support this expansion of services and enable TreeHouse to transform the lives of all children with autism, wherever they live.
Everyone at TalkTalk is thrilled that the company is supporting this dynamic, professional charity, which aims to reach a rising number of children whose needs are all too often unrecognised and unmet; at TalkTalk we would encourage others to consider supporting this charity too.
TreeHouse is a registered charity, number 1063184. For more information about TreeHouse please go to www.treehouse.org.uk
