I am running the London Marathon to raise money for Talli's Fund - a fund set up in memory of Talli Jones, a 6th former at Seaford College, West Sussex.
The fund raises money for AfriKids, a cause very close to Talli's heart, as well as providing a financial award to help a 6th former at Seaford embark on similarly worthwhile work during their gap year.
AfriKids provides shelter and support for orphaned and outcast children in Northern Ghana. It was little wonder that Talli was drawn to AfriKids. She was renowned for being loving and loyal, looking after and caring for all those who came into her life. Talli had wanted to spend her gap year working for AfriKids, but sadly, that was not to be.
Although her life was short, she had, in that time, created a huge impact, affecting all who knew her, and even those who didn't, me being one of those.
Please sponsor me and help AfriKids "BRING BIG SMILES TO LITTLE FACES" - something Talli would have loved to have done.
