Allavida is an international development charity with a mission to help people acquire the skills, knowledge, confidence and resources to work effectively for their communities. The charity works mainly in South East Europe, East Africa and Central Asia. In each region the work encompasses grant-making, capacity building, training, research and publishing.

Our personal message:

Many thanks for visiting our fundraising page and supporting our quest to raise money for community-led initiatives in
Romania. This is about giving community groups in rural Romania the support they need in order to carry out local projects that will benefit their community. The types of projects which your money will fund include, for example, providing vocational training to Rroma youth, refurbishing schools and building playgrounds, starting up a day centre
for special needs children and many other activities.

Our mission is to raise £1000 in internet sponsorship and a further £1000 off-line.

We have chosen to ride a tandem as Al is deaf-blind and has trouble on a normal bike. More importantly, the tandem gives Nick a chance to relax and let Al do the pedalling!

Please give as much as you can. If you are a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.
