Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Peter and I are two 18-year-old students at Winchester College. Last August we went out to Tanzania for three weeks, the first two of which we volunteered in an HIV/AIDS orphanage. For the third week of our trip we climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. At 5896m, Kilimanjaro is not only the tallest mountain in Africa, but it's the highest free-standing mountain in the world!

We climbed Kilimanjaro in memory of Johnny Sutton, a Wykehmaist who completed the climb himself before tragically passing away of Encephalitis 2 years ago.

We are therefore raising money for The Encephalitis Society by climbing the peak. It is a charity which is obviously very close to our hearts. It does a great job helping people, directly and indirectly, affected with encephalitis. If you would like to know a little more about The Encephalitis Society or the disease itself please visit their website.

If you would like more information our climb, please visit our website, www.tanzania09.tk

Our aim is to raise in excess of £7,500 for this wonderful charity and anything you can give will be so greatfully appreciated. We would also like to make it clear that all money donated will go directly to The Encephalitis Society (except the 5% commission of this website), as we are covering the costs of the trip ourselves.

Thank you very much and remember, "Every little helps!"

Ed and Peter
