Why your donation matters

By feeding a child with a mid day meal in school every day, they are now being sent by their parents to school to study rather than doing menial labour. By providing them an education, we bring employment. By employing one person, an entire family can come out of the cysle of poverty. It is the most effective way of nation building. It has been proven that schools which benefit from school lunches through AkshayaPatra, there the drop out rates have fallen, more girl children are attending and there significant drop in malnourishment. Currently there is more malnourished children in India than in the whole of sub saharan Africa. We have to change this.
