Story
As you are more than likely already aware, sadly Tony Rose passed away at the Phyliss Tuckwell hospice, in Farnham, two years ago. At that time not many of us knew about the magnificent work done there, not only for the patient but also for the family and friends.
In order that other patients and their loved ones get the same wonderful treatment we got, we have decided to do our bit. Last year Phil Alexander set a president by running the London marathon, this year we decided to get everyone involved and do a tash a thon!!
You may be asking yourself, what on earth that is, so I will tell you. Everyone will grow facial hair, beard, tash, goatie etc. Then on the 12th July everyone will have to remove all other hair and leave just a tash for which you will be sponsored. The girls involved will draw on or wear a false tash, unless they are able to grow one of their own!!
So get growing and forward www.justgiving.com/tashathon to all friends and family who are going to sponsor you!
On the 12th July we will all get together for a fun filled day of activities, the details of which will follow shortly.
“The Hospice receives less than 16% NHS funding and relies heavily on the support and generosity of the local community. All their services are free of charge but it costs £10,000 a day and therefore donations and legacy gifts are crucial. In April 2006, the Hospice sadly had to close four of its 18 beds as the result of a significant drop in legacy income and general donations”
So please sponsor as much as you can. Every penny counts
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
