I have been back for almost three weeks now and can say that Sri Lanka was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had and is still firmly in my mind. The place is breathtakingly beautiful and the cycling was great fun. As for the charity, we were all really moved when we eventually had the chance to visit a couple of the centres. Having seen with our own eyes exactly where the money raised is being used, it made the fundraising that much more gratifying and exciting. What wonderful people and what a beautiful country they live in. The children I met in the homes that are funded by the ICT were such a smiley bunch - so happy to welcome us into their lives - one couldn't help but fall in love with them. If this money can benefit them in any way, and Lord knows that it most certainly can, I sincerely hope that people will find it in their hearts to continue making donations as every penny counts. It only costs around £15 per month to support a child.
