Job Done!

Wow what an amazing experience. Sarah and Me crossed the line together in 4:09:26 and Baz in 4:39:18. It was a monumental effort for Baz as his knee gave way at mile 17 and he had to be strapped up twice to enable him to struggle to the finish. Massive respect to him for that as a lot of people would have given up.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far to raise an amazing amount of money for a brilliant cause. It's still not too late to donate so if you haven't already done so please give whatever you can.

Welcome to the Team Deen Builders London Marathon 2008 fund raising page, please dig deep and sponsor us online.

After over 2000 miles of training (Approx 1000 for me, 900 for Baz and 100 for Sarah! Only joking love!), 4 stone of weight lost (mostly mine!) 27 blisters (mostly Barry's), 6 black toe nails (shared equally), god knows how many visits to the physiotherapist (mostly Sarah- thanks Belinda!) and approximately 6 months of me and Baz having to put up with Sarah panicking and moaning! (love yer really! X) the time is nearly upon us to run the biggest and best marathon in the world in good old London town on Sunday April 13th .

We are running as a team for a fantastic charity called Rainbow Trust who do brilliant work supporting families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Because Rainbow very kindly gave us 3 of their very precious marathon places we have got to raise a lot of money for them but  we know that with your genorosity we can get to our target and hopefully beat it! So please give whatever you can.
