UPDATE: We did it! All three of us finished, and all in times of less than 90 minutes too. We've put some pictures up on this page as proof. It was more fun than we thought, and we raised much more than we had hoped. Thanks to everyone who sponsored us.
Team Politics is three members of the of ’s , who have agreed to enter the Erewash Novice Triathlon in August. That’s a 400 metres swim, followed by ten miles cycling, followed by a 5k run. We each have at least one bit of it that we really dread (for Mat it’s the swimming, for Phil the cycling, and for Sarah the running). The thought of having to do all three bits - and one afer the other - is even worse! Please help us turn our dread into something good by sponsoring us to drag ourselves over the finish line.
We’re raising money for Vitalise which is a national disability charity providing breaks for disabled adults, children and their carers at five accessible UK centres in Cornwall, Nottingham, Southport, Essex and Southampton. Through these centres and tours for visually impaired people, Vitalise provides over 6,000 holiday weeks annually for disabled adults, children and their carers. The Nottingham centre is one of the ’s supported charities, after the support they gave one of our colleagues.
