Leonard and Elizabeth are progressing with the preparations of Team81 to compete in the mother of all motoring adventures the Mongol Rally - www.mongolrally.co.uk - drive a car with an engine smaller than one litre from Madrid to London to the east end of the world, Mongolia + an extension to Beijing.

The Mongol Rally is a charity event with each team raising at least £1000 to be donated to "Send a Cow" and "Save the Children" in Mongolia and those rally cars that make it to Mongolia will be put to use there.

On 30 July, Team81 and around 35 other teams will drive non-stop for about 15.000Km. From Madrid to London, we will cross Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and some of China. 5 mountain ranges and 2 deserts and about three weeks later in the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator, where we will hand-over our generous cheque to the charities.
