My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

After blogger, Bangs and a Bun, took part in her first half mara back in October and swore she'd never do another one, she promptly signed up for the Paris Half Marathon.

Figuring there was no fun in doing it alone, she put a call out on Twitter: which lovely ladies would like to run the Paris Half Marathon with her? We could make a weekend of it, shopping, eating with a little bit of running at the end. Within 24 hours, she had 19 hot chicas ready to brave it with her.

The majority of us have never met in real life. We're dotted all over the country from Glasgow to London, but have already formed an incredible bond through our tweets of encouragement to each other. Some are more experienced runners, some are newbies and some have no clue what we're doing, but we've registered for the race and put it out there in the universe - so there's no backing out now!

We're running for Refuge, who do amazing work providing emergency accommodation for women and children escaping domestic violence. As a group of women, we want to raise awareness and funds for these inspirational women who could use our support.

So please dig deep and donate what you can.

Thank you - we really appreciate your support!

- Team Bangs on the Run

P.S Most of us are on Twitter, feel free to tweet us some encouragement!
