We are running London Marathon this year on 25th April to raise money for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice and would be so grateful for your support! The Shooting Star is a wonderful local charity based in Hampton which provides palliative care for children suffering from life limiting illnesses, and support for their families.  The charity depends on donations as it does not receive any long term statutory funding. http://www.shootingstar.org.uk

There's a special reason why we chose London - we were inspired by the story of the London Marathon's inception by Chris Brasher at our parents' pub, The Dysart Arms. http://www.virginlondonmarathon.com/marathon-centre/history-london-marathon/in-the-beginning/  so the two of us are running as Team Dysart!

Local friends work tirelessly to fund raise for this charity which provides such a unique and important function for the families it assists.  The Dysart Arms also donates a percentage of proceeds from events and concerts. Please help us raise as much as possible for this wonderful cause.

If you'll be somewhere along the route on marathon day please let us know!  We'll be wearing yellow vests with the Shooting Star logo, our names and "Team Dysart' on them.

Thank you for your support,

Camilla and Barny
