UPDATE 11TH MAY 2009 - What an amazing day! The whole team looked fab in our tshirts, photos and headgear (!) and we will have raised an incredible total for Treetops...

At 9K I started crying and to the High School Musical song 'We're all in this together' the rest of the team pulled pushed and cheered me along to cross the finishing line.

It was so emotional but we all did Jaxon proud. He and our friend Helen were definitely smiling down as we had a lovely sunny day too...I got round in under two hours which was my target so I am very proud of myself!

Ian did a PB and JJ 'won' the 5K! LOL Nanny Val and Nanna Barb were amazing danicng to 'Valerie' as they came down the finishing straight!

JAXON'S STORY - Our third beautiful baby boy Jaxon James Henry was born on 19^th December 2008. He was a healthy little man, with a gorgeous full head of hair and a much loved addition to our family – especially proud were his big brothers JJ and Ewan.

On 8^th January 2009 our world was to change forever when Jaxon suddenly and unexpectedly stopped breathing. After many attempts to revive him, Jaxon died aged just 20 days. No cause has yet been found and it is now assumed that he passed away due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

After weeks of waiting for any information from the post-mortem Jaxon was returned to us. The Donna Louise Trust were kind enough to take care of Jaxon in their Garden Rooms. This allowed us and our close friends and family to visit with Jaxon and say goodbye in a secure, comfortable environment before his funeral.

The staff at The Donna Louise Trust has and will continue to be a wonderful source of comfort, great counsel and tremendous bereavement support particularly with the children.

After many of you gave generous donations to the hospice following Jaxon’s funeral (thank you!) Ian decided he would train to run the Treetops 10K, an annual fundraising event for the Donna Louise Trust. Several of our friends then said that they would like to join him. The ‘team’ is now close to 30 of us, including Becki and Jaxon’s nannies and many of our friends.
