Sunday 22nd July - Thursday 26th July 2012. After a few too many shandies last summer my brother and I came up with the idea of raising money for some of the charities who have supported my neice (diagnosed with Leukaemia in July last year) and my nephew (diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2008).
Rather than complete the more traditional charity events I am planning on running from Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool (where Charlie was first diagnosed) to Birmingham Children's Hospital (where Georgia was diagnosed). This will result in running five marathons in five days (hence the 5in5withpaul). I am also hoping for people to join me during some or all of the run and a number of people are already planning on walking or cycling all or part of the route so please participate in any way you feel comfortable. The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the three chosen charities - JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, CLIC Sargent and Ronald McDonald House.

This is a very special, poignant run to mark two key events in their short lives so far...
