Bow Street Runners

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.

The Bow Street Runners have been called London's first professional police force. The force was founded in 1749 and originally numbered just six.

Jane thought the name was a good play on words in the circumstances!

We are raising money for the Police Treatment Centres. They provide top class treatment to serving an retired officers and are solely funded by officers donations and fundraising.

Officers donations alone aren't enough to sustain the centres as the economy forces police numbers to fall and a freeze on recruitment. This makes it even more important to get these donations and make sure the centres can keep running.

They provide a service to 27 forces in the North of England, North Wales,Scotland and Northern Ireland treating about 4000 patients every year.

We've joined together to raised money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal

So please dig deep and donate now.
