Three years after my stroke, I'm cycling across the UK this September - 140 miles westbound for the Stroke Association and 140 miles eastbound for the Animal Welfare Foundation. That's three days cycling each way. My brother's coming to keep me company.
The Stroke Association ride is an obvious choice for stroke victim but the Animal Welfare Foundation less so - until you know that I'm a vet and that my dogs and horses helped me recover both my morale and physical confidence.
Further down on this page, there's a link to my ride for each charity with a fuller explanation of why I'm doing this bum-challenging ride. Please, strain your credit cards mightily giving to the charity that's closest to you.
Many thanks, Louise Logan.
