National Grid Squash Club

We at the National Grid Squash Club are going to undertake a gruelling 24 hour Squashathon in aid of British Blind Sport (http://www.britishblindsport.org.uk/) starting on the evening of Friday 18th May and finishing 24 hours later on Saturday 19th May. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Squash: imagine Tennis, with a ball less than half the size, and the court folded over so that both opponents are on the same side. A typical leisure session between two people would last 30-40 minutes, leaving both people breathless (hopefully) - but we are wanting to do it for 24 hours!

Needless to say this will be a physically challenging exercise however this is dwarfed by the physical challenges faced by the visually impaired every day. This is why we are undertaking this challenge to support British Blind Sport, a charity which enables visually impaired people to have the same opportunities as sighted people to access and enjoy sport and recreational activities in the UK.
