Three's A Crowd

From an office joke, came an enormous fundraising challenge.

El Davies, Jo Hunt and Lou Lyons are all working full time in the Royal Air Force. With Jo just back from an overseas deployment, El just about to go on a 4 month deployment and Lou just notified that she is going for a second time next summer, the RAF Benevolent Fund is close to heart and never far from their minds.

On 1 Sep 2012 the challenge will begin. El will swim 30 miles (The equivalent of 1.5 time the Dover Straight), Lou will cycle 1000 miles (The equivalent of Lands End to John O'Groats) and Jo will run 140 miles (The equivalent of RAF Marham to RAF Brize Norton). They will all finish their distances on 30 Sep 2012.

The RAF Benevolent Fund looks after the whole RAF family. From the pilots flying aircraft all across the world, to the chefs, stewards, RAF Regiment and admin staff back in the UK and deployed on Ops. The families and dependants are also supported, no matter what, by the RAF Benevolent Fund.

The massive difference made by the RAF Benevolent Fund is not only felt by all in the RAF family whilst serving, but after military life as well. The knowledge that this amazing support network is there, gives all of those still serving the ability to carry out their duties 24/7.

87p out of every pound donated, goes straight to where it is needed the most. Our lads and lasses and their familes. So dig deep and donate whatever you can.

Thank you.
