Brain tumours claim more young lives than ANY other form of childhood cancer. In the UK 450 children are diagnosed every year and for many the chances of survival remain low.
Among them is a tumour so DEADLY it has NO treatment and its prognosis is UNCHANGED IN DECADES.
This fatal brain cancer is ‘Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma’ or DIPG.
‘Abbies Army’ is a charity formed after the loss of one of the 40 precious children in the UK who are affected by DIPG brain cancer every year. Currently a death sentence no one knows what causes it and it can happen to ANY child.
Abbie was our beautiful daughter who was only 6 years old when she received her DIPG diagnosis; she sadly passed away just 5 months later from her illness.
In her memory we are totally committed to raising funds and awareness for research into this horrific brain cancer. No family should have to hear that there is no cure or HOPE .
EVERY 9 DAYS a UK family receives a DIPG diagnosis for their child!
