YMCA Fairthorne Group Tour de Y Challenge 2015: Penzance to London

Team photo

Life is all about challenges. We see it every day in our work, where we support often the most vulnerable children, young people and families in our local communities.

We're raising money for two fantastic causes - our YMCA Building Bridges bursary fund (giving children & familes who couldn't normally attend our schemes access to activities they can enjoy together http://www.ymca-fg.org/membership/fundraising) and YCare International helping rebuild lives abroad through relief and development (http://www.ycareinternational.org/)

So we've set ourselves a challenge, to fundraise by cycling 336 miles in 4 days from Penzance to London. There'll be 5634m of climbing - almost 2/3 the height of Everest *gulp*.  A strict training regime has started and extra padded shorts purchased - bring on September!

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
