Hello. We are Beverley, Julia, Clare and Julie. Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
In January we are attempting to climb Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa. This has been almost 2 years in the planning (well lots of talking and only recently some serious planning). It all came about one evening round Beverley's dinner table. A conversation about Beverley's life long dream to climb this mountain and chatting about our boys. Three of us have sons with Down Syndrome.
The obvious conclusion was to head to Africa and raise lots of money for charity at the same time! So that's what we're doing. We're leaving our partners and children behind and hope we reach the summit.
Kilimanjaro is almost 6000m high. We're all a bit apprehensive but very excited. Training has begun. Some of you in the Hertfordshire / Essex area may see us tramping across the countryside. We will update you on our progress.
