Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As you may or may not be aware, My Son has a condition called Craniosynostosis, this in very basic terms means some of his skull fused early. To correct this, he will be having his skull reconstructed in November 2017.

This Just giving page is to raise money for Alder Hey hospital that will be carrying out the surgery and Headlines, a charity that aims to provide support and help to all those affected by Craniosynostosis.

This page is set up to try and raise money for both Charities. Unfortunately, Just Giving requests that you have to donate to each one individually, hence below there are two links. One to Headlines, and one to Alder Hey. If you are able to donate, please try to split it evenly as they both deserve as much as you can give.

Now, onto what I intend to do to raise money.

I am aiming (dependant on injury) to run 1 full length (10 mile) Obstacle Course Race (OCR) each month for 12 months Jan-Dec 2018. So 120 miles or 4.5 marathons, but throwing in a load of mud, water and obstacles. To give you an idea, the first one will be in January, in Scotland called MacTuff (http://mactuff.co.uk/). You must wear neoprene as it is so cold! I am not the fittest and find 10k a struggle, on a road, in the warmth. So doing 1 10 mile obstacle race would be enough of a challenge. Let alone 1 a month for 12 months.

I will be paying for all my entries, accommodation and kit. Therefore tha charities will be getting all of your donations. If any race, hotel or brand decide to donate, I will match fund the equivalent amount and put it into the donations. If you know of anyone that would be able to help in this way, but is not able to donate cash, please let me know.

Thank you. Your donations will make a real difference to many children all over the UK.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
