Our mission is to raise money to work towards building communities in some of the poor and most under developed rural areas of Africa.
We are joining forces with Vimba in the UK and Angus Gillis Foundation in South Africa. Both foundations identify and embark on projects involving African communities; helping them to develop and to empower individuals. The foundations recognize that true development takes place only when communities invest in themselves. This philosophy ties in very closely to the spirit and beliefs of Ubunye.
Ubunye” is a South African Xhosa word that means “Team Spirit” or “Togetherness”. This word reflects what our challenge is about and how we will look to bring people together from different walks of life to believe that we can make a difference in Africa.
