We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal
This year we have a number of events that we are participating in, some of which we are organising, some we are simply picking up the challenge and taking part, though all of the events we are involved in 2015, are to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Why the BHF? The BHF play a significant role in supporting those who have life threatening heart problems and indeed are a massive source of support for those who embark on the transplant journey.
We have chosen BHF in memory of a friend who tragically passed away 29 years ago, where a heart was donated and a life was saved. A truly remarkable story in its own right!!
We will not be coming to you to ask for donations for every event, one donation would be fabulous!!
We will post regular updates and update our page during the events (where we can) so you can see how we are getting on.
Here are the events that we are doing this year:-
London Marathon with a twist (23rd to 25th April) A three man yellow-hat team, well two and a 12 year old, will be cycling from South Wales to London some 180 miles down sustrans route 4 over two days where, at the end, one of the cycling colleagues WILL be running the London Marathon on 26th April!!
The Stratford Tempest sportive (June) – 65 miles cycling the rolling Warwickshire countryside
Fat Lad at the Back sportive (July) – the aptly named FLaB ride for 75 miles cycling over the Derbyshire dales
Lon Las Cymru relay challenge (August) – a Yellow-hat team of 8 cycling from Holyhead to Cardiff in 14 hours
Cardiff half marathon (October) – Yes I have persuaded to run a half marathon!!
