We are thankfully still a team of 11 staff from South Tyneside Homes after taking part in the Grotto Zip Slide orgainsed by St.Clare's Hospice of Jarrow, South Tyneside. On the 24th of October at 10.30am our task was a simple but adrenaline raising one as we jumped lemming-style one after the other off the 100 ft high cliff tops at Marsden Grotto and zipped our way 800 feet to the bottom.
Thanks to the help of many sponsors (strangely a lot of people were happy to sponsor us to jump off a cliff edge!) we smashed the minimum target St. Clare's set us and are still continuing to raise money to support this wonderful local charity which is very close to our hearts. This site will remain open for a while so if you didn't get to sponsor us before the event there's still time to do it.
