Tim Frankham was an extraordinary man. If you are on this page you will already know of him, or know of what we want to acheive in his memory.

Losing someone as young as 42 is heartbreaking, but without Cancer Research UK, his life would have been even shorter. Their support of a clinical trial gave Tim an extra year of life with his family and freinds - and each patient who participated in this trial could have had to pay around £15k for the treatment and scans if they had to cover the costs themselves.

We want to give someone else that chance of life, so we are doing some pretty amazing things in 2010. If you want to join in, or support us with donations or sponsorship - please use this page, or contact Helene Frankham on helene@purplerainbow.net

We will be starting with one of the most bum numbing of escapades - John O'Groats to Lands End in a Jungheinrich Fork Lift Truck. Thats 12 miles per hour - relayed by three drivers so we're on the go 24/ for all 915 miles. Its a first - so do all you can to support us. we will finish with a reception in St Ives on March 1st - which would have been Tim's 43rd birthday.

We're also organising a Team Tim for Race for Life in Bristol in June - want to join in? If so - let us know so we can get the T shirts organised! Its only 3 miles - go on - you know you want to!!! This will be followed by some food and drinks and a few family games at the Downs.

Fancy dressing up for a Summer Ball? Keep August available in your diary for a top notch dinner with live music - a chance to dress up, drink up and support our Team Tim. Details will follow.

And to end the year, there will be a Team Tim at Bristol's half marathon in October. Let us know if you want to join us. The more the merrier so we can raise loadsa money and keep the memory of Tim alive for us all.

Thank you already to our supporters with their kind sponsorship and donations of equipment and vouchers. Special thanks to Jungheinrich - their generosity has been truly amazing. We could not have done this without you.
