Story

Hello. My name is Teddy Keen. I am attempting to race in Finland’s Kuopio 200km Ice marathon in February 2011. You can follow all my strange adventures at www.teddyonice.com

Why, you ask, are you doing this?

Good point. I have wanted to do this race since I first heard about it 4 years ago. The idea of skating around a frozen lake in the heart of Finland sounded fun. No I am not a failed figure skater. But I did go to ice skating discos when I was child. Secondly, and more importantly, I have been meaning to do something for Great Ormond Street children’s hospital for many years to say thank you for looking after my brother Angus who has Apert syndrome. This is also a good opportunity to bring attention to the charity Headlines who, although not a biggie, make a big difference.
