In September 2009, Richard, Martin, Emma and James from CVS will be jumping from a plane at 4000 feet to raise money for Temwa. When we have a confirmed date and location for the jump, that will appear here -- bear with us while we finalise the details!
Temwa will be using this money for a specific project: to make an AIDS awareness film, aimed at young people, for use throughout Malawi. The aim is to teach children before puberty how they protect themselves from HIV, hopefully with the effect of massively reducing the prevalence of the disease, which reaps a terrible toll on the country -- it is estimated that 14.2% of the adult population are infected.

Previous Temwa projects supported by CVS include a school block in Nkhutu, Usisya, which we've recently been told is nearing completion!
