We raise funds for vital medical research to ensure the health of women and babies
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Here is the last update on my story.
The big day is almost here. In less than 2 days time, I will be cycling 450 km ( 60 miles a day) over five days through the Beijing province of China. I've decided to undertake this challenge, on a personal and symbolic level, to mark my 44th year and to raise money to support research into the prevention of infertility and miscarriage. This cause, as many of you know, is very close to my heart. Robert Winston's fundraising charity (Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trust) strives to preserve the health of families and their babies who face devastating problems including cancer, premature birth and brain injury.
In order to qualify for this challenge I have agreed to raise over £3000 and to get myself fit enough to undertake the ride which covers 100km per day through steep gorges, along rivers and past the Great Wall. I haven't really ridden a bike since I was about 15 - so this will be something of a real adventure for me. Neil and Paddy began the support by surprising me with my very own bicycle for Mother's Day - and I have a very serious training schedule ahead...!

Please support me in my challenge. Every one, five or ten pounds you donate will help me to achieve my fundraising goal and take me one step closer to my Cycle China Challenge. Please give as much as you can.
Together we can make a real difference.
Thanks
Teresa
