We are 'piggy-backing' the Movember event www.movember.com and raising money for the Jessie May Trust www.jessiemay.org.uk a Bristol-based charity that provides a hospice at home service of nursing care and respite for children with a terminal illness.
Our introduction to the Jessie May Trust has come via Brad (a mtb rider of some dubious repute locally in Bristol) and Jo Snow. Brad and Jo gave birth to their first child Stella in January this year, just before TFs very own Martin and his partner Ellen welcomed their daughter Nieva into the world. Unlike Nieva who is challenging in the way all young babies are, Stella has more to contend with. She was born with a condition PMG (Polymicrogyria) that brings with it a broad range of complicated and difficult development challenges. These are challenges that Brad, Jo and most notably Stella are confronting with determination, energy and a fair portion of laughter. The Jessie May Trust have provided the Snow family with some well deserved support for which we know they are grateful.
So we grow moustaches and look silly, you donate, and the Jessie May Trust make use of your donations to support families like Brad, Jo, and Stella in the Bristol area.
